ABOUT THE PUBThe pub operates at Bolshaya Dmitrovka, 13. From the early 60s to the mid-90s, the Soviet beer bar Ladya, known to everyone as the legendary and wild Pit, worked here. The first beer machines in the Union were installed in the Pit, and the protagonist of the film Beware of the Car, Yuri Detochkin, accepted declarations of love from investigator Podberezovik. This fact is often refuted, but it is known for certain that it was from the door of the Pit that both heroes went out into Stoleshnikov Lane, swaying picturesquely. The 15th-century vaulted pub now easily accommodates up to 500 people.Tap & Barrel is perhaps the most classic of all Pub Lifes pubs, but also the most fun of them all.
